Year 4 have continued their learning about the Hindu religion this week, by looking at how they worship and learning about the items that are used on a Puja tray. The classroom has been filled with the aroma of incense and we have lit diva lamps too.

Visitor to Hillside
We were surprised to find a visitor at Hillside this morning. This cheeky pheasant was enjoying exploring our school grounds but thought that he’d leave before the playground filled up at lunchtime! This gamebird didn’t want to play ‘games’ with us! What beautiful colours and markings!
Holi Day
What a fantastic day we have had celebrating Holi. We have tasted Indian food, which was delicious, experimented with cars in paint and made our own powder paint splatter people. We apologise for any messy clothes, we did wear aprons, honestly! We have had a fabulous day.
Y2 trip to Knowsley Safari Park

Year 2 Parents

Baking in Nursery
On Wednesday the children worked with Mr Tett to make their own biscuits using Numicon. The children used the Numicon to help with their counting skills and to say which number was bigger/smaller. We all enjoyed tasting the biscuits this afternoon before hometime – they were delicious!
Nursery Den Building
On Monday the Nursery children found a den in the woods, which they loved, so they worked really hard to build their own den. They all worked as a team picking up sticks safely and carrying them to the den.
