Super Science
In the Reception classroom today, the children have been designing and making their own tin foil boats. The challenge was to discover which design would hold the most cubes before sinking. The winning amount was well over 100!
Paper Aeroplanes
In year 5, children had the opportunity to make paper aeroplanes and learn about forces. There were lots of brilliant planes that flew very well!
Go Wild Forest School
Go Wild Forest School spent the day helping the children use a Ferro Rod (flint & steel) to light cotton wool! We talked about the 3 elements of a fire (oxygen-heat-fuel). The safety of fire. All the children managed to light the cotton wool. Lots of fun in the woods today!
Ants and Spiders
The children are using an app on the iPads to bring pictures of ants and spiders to life.
Sweetie Science
What a delicious, teaser of a science activity! Children have had the opportunity to make skittle rainbows, marshmallow houses for the three little pigs and solve allsorts of problems with liquorice! The children were fab at resisting temptation and not eating their experiments! 🐷
Greasy Fun!
The children have had lots of greasy fun creating bird feeders in a workshop today. The children even hung them in the trees in the woods. What a treat for the birds around Baddeley Green!
Rainbow Spinner Workshop
The rainbow spinner workshop has been chocka-block all day. The children have really enjoyed creating their spinner and watching how the colours do strange things! Ask them what they have learned in this session.
