Year 5 are having an extremely busy afternoon decorating their Anderson shelters made in this morning’s showcase. I can’t wait to see the finished creations.  

The School Council from this year and last year have had a wonderful opportunity to spend the money they earned from the community bid last year. They’ve worked with a lady called Rachel to build willow domes in our outdoor area. We can’t wait to play in them in the summer term!  

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for out World War 2 Showcase. Everyone seemed to enjoy building Anderson shelters, designing posters for WW2 and practising sewing stitches. This half terms reading challenge began on Monday 25th February and will finish on Sunday 14th April 2019. Good luck to those children who have welcomed the challenge and are hoping to achieve the Reading Rocket.

Reception have had a lovely time in the woods on Wednesday. The sun was shining and we spotted the first signs of Spring. We also enjoyed making pretend fires, playing hide and seek and telling stories in the story time area.  

We really enjoyed being out in the sunshine on Monday, hunting for mini beasts. We were quite surprised at what we found hidden away under logs, decaying leaves and in dead tree trunks. Our free time allowed us to explore the woods, play hide and seek and build our own den.  

Well done to all the children who achieved the Reading Rocket during the last half term. We celebrated their success in assembly this morning and they will be receive a small treat before the end of the week.
