As part of our History learning, Year One have been sorting old and new toys. They decided that most wooden toys were older as grandparents might find wood that they could use to make toys. Grandparents wouldn’t have been able to mould plastic at home to make the new toys we have today like dolls and cars so they were put in to the new section. We also decided that toys with batteries and sounds were newer as these are trickier to make. The children’s explanations were fab – super sorting Year One! 🚘 🤖 👶
