Year One have been investigating mechanisms including levers to help them to create their own burning house! The challenge is to create a street from 1666 – when the Fire of London took place – using levers to make it appear that their houses have set alight! 🔥 They tested different movements – sliding up, down, left and right and on a pin to create a pivot movement and worked as a group to design their houses and levers after investigating levers in books 📚 They will paint them, add the levers and see how their flames burn the street! These will go on display with some of their incredible writing so we’ll post again when done!
