Year 6 have had a wonderful start to World Book Week. They have taken part in a book tasting morning. Book tasting involves looking at the front cover, blurb and first chapter of a book and deciding whether it is a book the children would like to read. During the book tasting, the children have had hot chocolate, marshmallows and cream. A well-deserved treat after all their hard work in year 6 so far.
We have also made and tasted pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Mrs Ashton led a fun and informative assembly to explain the meaning behind Pancake Day and shared some fun facts. What a wonderful start to the week!
