May I express my sincere thanks to you all for the excellent work you have done to help the people of Milton and Baddeley Green commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War One.
The children’s work will be displayed both in the Church and Parish Centre during the weekend of November 10th – 11th. The church and Centre will be open from 10:30 am on Saturday till 4:00pm. And on Sunday from 8:00am till 4:30pm refreshments will be served during these periods – at no cost Any donations received with be divide between “Help the Heroes” and a” Horse Charity”.
Besides the children’s work, the 3300 knitted poppies –a weeping window- display plus other craft and floral arrangements will be on view. For those wishing to commemorate a loved one a Book of Remembrance will be available and a field of wooden crosses will be situated on the green within the church grounds. This will be officially begun on Friday 3rd at 1:15pm by our local councilors. Full details are on the church notice board and around the village.
It is a privilege to work with the children: their behaviour, enthusiasm and care shown are credit to the school and parents.
