We did some Hapa Zome a Japanese way of printing using natural materials like plants and flowers onto material. The children used hammers to bash out the natural oils and colours of the flora (plants) Dandelions have been the best colours so far. Clay work has also been a big hit at forest school, every week it offers great tactical way of expressing what children are feeling & they are very keen to make anything they want. Bug pots and magnifying glasses were used to investigate what they have found and using ID charts they able to identify what they found and name it. A child had spotted a butterfly and was able to identify it by its colours and she found a Peacock butterfly (Aglais io)
