Science Spies

Miss McCann’s Science spies have now been appointed and been given their first mission, which they passed with flying colours. They were given the task to ensure their own classrooms were equipped for super science lessons over the year. They will be set their next mission in the very near future!

Microhabitats in Year 2

Year 2 have had an exciting week with their science learning. They have been investigating what conditions would make the perfect microhabitat for a woodlouse. They went outside to collect their materials, came in to build their microhabitats and then observed the woodlice entering their new homes. Brilliant science learning!

Year One’s Science Sorting!

Year One have been in to the woods today to identity and classify trees and leaves. They spotted signs of seasonal change, collecting leaves from all over the woods and sorted them using hoops and their own titles. They used titles like evergreen, deciduous, curved and spanner orange! Great ideas everyone! 🍁  

Children in Need in Nursery

Nursery have had a lovely time raising money for Children In Need! We’ve made our own Pudsey Bears, searched for Pudsey shapes in the woods and played Pudsey phonics games!

Year 2 at Knowsley Safari Park

Year 2 have had a fabulous (but cold!) day at Knowsley Safari Park. The children saw some of the larger animals on the safari tour and met some of the smaller animals up close and personal! Everybody has had a lovely day and gained lots of great facts about habitats and Africa.

Children In Need Bake Sale

Nursery Forest School

Nursery have spent the morning in the woods making sparklers! We hunted for sticks to make our own sparklers and then made yummy chocolate ones! What a lovely morning.
