Year One’s Science Sorting!

Year One have been in to the woods today to identity and classify trees and leaves. They spotted signs of seasonal change, collecting leaves from all over the woods and sorted them using hoops and their own titles. They used titles like evergreen, deciduous, curved and spanner orange! Great ideas everyone! 🍁

Mental Health workshop for Year Six

Year Six have been visited by a representative of ‘Mind’, a charity who help to support children’s understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Children took part in a variety of activities to develop awareness of this important issue and to help them understand how to deal with different emotions.

Year One’s Seasonal Poetry

Year One have been learning and reciting their own poetry! They have created rhyming verses about the different seasons and then performed as a class verses about Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Story and Rhyme Club

We used ‘Sparks in the Sky’, an ebook to inspire our firework pictures! We used handprints to paint a bonfire then adding whizzing and whooshing fireworks to the picture! We also talked about staying safe and taking care around fires and fireworks! Super work! 🎆
