This afternoon, Year Three have created short dance routines using Egyptian hieroglyphs to inspire their body movements. Miss Hayward was very impressed with their creativity and team work. Well done Year Three!

Brazil Day in Year Three!
Year Three went on a trip to Rio de Janeiro this week. They met and handled lots of rainforest animals, learned some samba moves and tried Brazilian snacks. They all had a fantastic time and didn’t want to come home!
Rowing Event
Last night’s Rowing event at Hillside was a fantastic success. A group of our Year 5’s welcomed a group of children from Burnwood Primary school. This was Burnwood’s first introduction to rowing. All of the children had great fun and managed to record some great times. Well done!

Tennis in Year Four
The children are enjoying learning how to play tennis and practising how to keep a rally going using different strokes. I wonder which pair will be the most successful.
Nursery Workout with Joe Wicks!
The children have had a great time completing a workout with Joe Wicks today as part of our Children In Need activities. We have been running, marching, squatting and lunging before ending with a lovely stretch to relax our bodies. Super work out Nursery!

Rowing in Year Five
During this half term, Year Five have been getting to grips with using the rowing machines. We have been working very hard on our technique and are looking forward to challenging ourselves in the coming weeks by increasing the length and pace of our rowing.
