Remembrance in Reception

This week we read a beautiful story about Remembrance Day that helped us to understand why we have this special day. We learned about why we wear poppies and who it is to remember. We made our own Remembrance cards, artwork, and play dough poppies amongst lots of other exciting activities.

French in Year Six – Notre ècole

Children have practised learning verbs in French today by matching different actions with images of school. Children played a card game in which they had to turn cards over and try to find their matching verb . It got very competitive but children did extremely well to identify the matching pairs.

Dance in Year Five

We’ve been flying through our unit of dance this term in P.E. and the children are close to finalising their performances. It was great to see them using great teamwork and communication this week as they created and rehearsed a routine which carefully considered expressing the significance of recycling.

Continents and Oceans in Year Two

In year two, we have been learning the names of the continents and oceans. As a final task, children drew and labelled the continents and oceans on their very own globe balloon. Well done for trying to be as accurate as possible.
