Types of learning in Year Three

In PSHE, the children have been learning about how we learn. They could be visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learners. The children also had a go at planning their own short lesson and discussed the impact behaviour has on learning.

Speaking French in Year Four

The children have been talking to each other about the weather in French. They had to describe the weather from the weather map of France and their partner had to decide whether it was ‘Oui or Non’, depending if the description was true or false. We have some super French accents developing too! Tres bien!

Fractions in Year Five

This week, we began our new unit of learning in maths – Fractions. Crucially, we reminded ourselves of what a fraction was and the different ways they can be represented. Together, we defined a numerator and a denominator and began to explore equivalent fractions using the fraction tiles.

Year Four Roman Day

Year Four had a fantastic day immersed in everything Roman. They created shields, played Roman numeral bingo, carried out some Roman food tasting and learned about formations. They all looked fantastic in their costumes!
