Year 5 have received their first letters from their new pen pals! They have linked up with another school called Hillside from Scotland. On Monday afternoon, they started to write their replies.

Year 6 are working with children from Reception to develop their maths skills through online games.

At 11am this morning, the staff and children at Hillside took part in a 1 minute silence to remember the victims of the Manchester attack.  

Years 3/4/5/ and 6 had a fantastic day at Ormiston Horizon.  They represented Hillside fabulously,  played some amazing hockey and won quite a few matches too! Well done Hillside!

On Tuesday, Y3 had a visit from bee-keeper, Andy! We learnt about pollination and how to protect the bees in our country. We explored a real bee hive and tried on a bee-keepers uniform.

Reception are having a fabulous time on their mini beast adventure .

Thank you to all the Nursery parents and grandparents for coming to the showcase yesterday. We hope you had a lovely afternoon exploring the forest and enjoyed looking for minibeasts.

As part of their topic on what life would be like 100 years ago, Year Two are learning to play Blow Football! They’ll be writing instructions later today to explain the best tricks and tips to help win the game.
