Go Wild Forest School

Great day at Go Wild on Monday! The children had amazing fun soap carving. I love the concentration on their faces! We have played some woodland games “Beetle tag” & “Sleeping Bear”! The children spent sometime exploring the woods & working in teams to create a shelter together.

Potteries Science Festival Workshops

Pupils from Year 5 and 6 have enjoyed a range of science workshops this afternoon, organised as part of the Potteries Science Festival. Here, Year Five have been testing for Vitamin C in fruit juices, carrying out some coding and building structures to fulfil a given criteria. A fantastic afternoon was had by all.

Y2 have fun at the seaside!

Year 2 have had a lovely day at Llandudno! They’ve travelled on the Great Orme, played on the beach, ate ice cream and watched Punch and Judy!  

Potteries Science Festival

This afternoon, a group of Hillside scientists attended the Potteries Science Festival held at Burslem School of Art. The children took part in various workshops throughout the afternoon including: designing structures, extracting DNA from fruit, primary coding, the science of scurvy, marble rollercoaster design and a water bear hunt.

Polite Request

A reminder that children (including older and younger siblings) should not be riding scooters or bikes on the playgrounds before or after school.  They should also not be running among or behind the flower beds.  Please ensure that anyone else who may accompany your child to school is aware of this request.    

Well done to the City Songbirds for another amazing performance!
