Year Four Invasion

Year Four were in shock yesterday when Year Five invaded our classroom and refused to give it back. Luckily, with sheer determination and power we were successful in reclaiming our room and driving the invaders out! In addition, we have also experienced the emotions that the Celts would have felt when the Romans invaded Britain!

Wind in the Willows Art

Whilst 2/3 of year 5 completed their playground leader training yesterday afternoon, the rest of the children started to get our Wind in the Willows display ready by creating pieces of art based around the four main characters. They look lovely so far!

Birthday Week in Reception

Reception have been learning about birthdays this week. We are finishing off the week with party games and sandwiches which the children have made themselves!

UN International Day of Peace Assembly

Today, Hillside has observed the UN International Day of Peace. Mr Such led a beautiful assembly this morning filled with singing, prayers and messages of peace. Lunchtime with the Nursery children

This week the children in the nursery have had their first, of many, school dinners. They were all really ‘grown up’ and were able choose their own food. In this picture they are showing Mrs Schonau, the headteacher, how sensible they can be when eating their lunch.
