Easter visit to the church

We made our annual visit to church to celebrate Easter on Wednesday afternoon. As ever the singing was fantastic and the children enjoyed sharing their songs and poems. A lovely afternoon.

Y3 Djembe Squad

Our newly established Y3 djembe squad enjoyed sharing their drumming skills with the school as they came into singing practice this morning. They drew staff from over the school who were keen to see who was producing the amazing sounds! Everyone was very very impressed  👏

Final Book Club for Y3

Final Book Club for Y5

Year 5 are enjoying their final book club with pancakes and fruit. They have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Enchanted Horse by Magdalene Nabb. They would like to recommend the book to other children in school, particularly children who like animals.

Book Bench Launch

R.E. Day

On Monday, Hillside held another successful  R.E. day. The day began with an Easter assembly with Mrs Ashton followed by an R.E. poetry writing competition in the morning. Last Forest Schooling for years 3 and 4

We have had a lovely last forest schooling session. We have been busy climbing trees, building shelters and lighting fire. Well done to all the children for their wonderful attitudes and behaviours over the past term which have made the sessions thoroughly enjoyable!
