Year 2 Maths

Year 2 have made a fantastic start to their learning this year. In this picture, they are proudly showing their amazing tens and ones ladybirds (expertly coloured in!) that they completed in maths. These will go on display on our maths gallery in the classroom. Well done!  

Story and Rhyme Craft Club

Mrs Rushton started her story and rhyme club on Monday with superstars from Reception and Year One! We made a character hat after reading a well-known story – can you tell which one?! 🍂  

Head Girl 2019/20

Here is our new Head Girl for this academic year. We’ll done to Lacie who was chosen to take on this special role in recognition of her sensible, fair, friendly nature. All staff at Hillside are confident that she will be a great ambassador for the school. Well done Lacie!

English in Year 3

This morning the children have been enjoying taking on the role of the man from The Great Kapok tree for a drama activity. There was some fantastic acting.

Year One’s Woodland Maths

Year One spent the morning in the woods as part of their maths learning today. They played hide and seek with numbers and were challenged to order to 20 and then to order in 10s to 100! They were amazing and loved being active with their number work!
