As part of National Careers Week we held a careers fair, this was a huge success with lots of careers talk taking place throughout the school. In the hall the children had the opportunity to talk to workers from Catch22, the NHS, Stoke on Trent City Council, Keele University, Bet365, Staffordshire Police and Asda. They thought of questions to ask the visitors involving the careers and challenges/setbacks that come up along the way.
In KS1, the children had the opportunity to talk to two of our local policing officers, they had some fantastic questions to help them find out more about the role of Police Officers and were lucky enough to have a look at the police car and hear /see the sirens up close!
Well done Hillside for a showing such enthusiasm in finding out new information about the different jobs and careers that are out in the big wide world!
