Map work in Reception

This week we have been reading the story of What the Ladybird Heard. We studied the map of the farmyard and created our own focussing closely on the farmyard features such as the pond, the barns and the fields. We think that we have made a fantastic job of it 😁

Classical Music in Year Five

The class were in tune this week as they practised their classical chords in music. It was lovely to observe them working collaboratively together and offering each other advice.  

Year Four Explorers

Our super scientists have been out in our wonderful grounds this week, hunting for invertebrates. They have identified them using classification keys and recorded their findings in a tally chart.😊  

Nursery explore shapes!

This week we have been learning about shapes, we have been searching for shapes in the environment, sorting shapes and talking about their properties and using shapes to create different types of transport. Fantastic work Nursery!

Introducing protractors in Year Five

We’ve been working very hard on using protractors within our maths learning. For most children, this was their first time at using protractors and they’ve done a super job at measuring angles up to 180 degrees. As we move forward this week, we will explore drawing precise angles of our own using a protractor.
