Archery Club

Archery Club got off to a great start with 17 children attending from Nursery to Y3.

Y4 Science

Year 4 made the most of the sunshine yesterday by taking their Science lesson outside. We carried out two investigations to find out about how sound travels. We experimented with string telephones and also measured the distances that instruments could be heard.    

The mystery of the Y3 robbery has been solved!

Police-woman Leanne Derry visited us today to tell us that Gangsta Granny has been arrested and charged with the robbery of Y3 property.  She thanked the children for all the work they did to help solve the case.

Year 3/4 Football Team – Friday 28th April 2017

Our newly formed year 3/4 football team played their first games on Friday at Northwood. They made an amazing start against St Marks, winning 6-0 but were beaten 2-0 in a close game against Carmountside. A great start!

Spring Hunt

Reception have had lots if fun in the woods today on a spring treasure hunt. They have found a bird’s nest, some seedlings and lots of new flowers!

Nursery’s New Friends!

Today in the Nursery we said hello to our very own Caterpillars! We talked all about how to care for them and what will happen! We found out that they turn into butterflies! They are in our investigation area and we can’t wait to see how they grow!

Port Vale Community Day

Hillside have had a fantastic morning with the Port Vale Foundation Trust. They have tried a number of sports, had a tour of the grounds and even met one of the players.
