Local Democracy Event
Leon, Faith and Isabella have represented Hillside at a Local Democracy event held at The Civic Centre this afternoon. They have toured the Lords Mayors Parlour, taken part in a debate in the Council Chambers and taken part in a discussion and ballot about how their local area could be improved. They were fantastic ambassadors.
‘Key Strings’ visit Hillside – Key Stage 2
All children have had a wonderful morning enjoying learning about different stringed instruments, how they are played and the sounds that they can make! Some of us even got to play the instruments and we all joined in singing and clapping along to many Beatles classics!
‘Key Strings’ Performance – Early Years & Key Stage 1
Our Early Years and KS1 classes are having a morning filled with musical excitement. We have welcomed Key Strings into school. They they are entertaining us with music from the Beatles and educating us about musical instruments. The photo above shows our newly-formed stiffle band and rock n roll band. They were fantastic! 🎼🎻🥁

Year Three Greek Olympics
Did you know the Ancient Greeks created the Olympics? They devised a range of activities to show their strength, speed and skill! Year Three have had a fab time trying out wrestling (with socks!) to see if they’d fancy being an Olympian!
