Reading Challenge Winners

Congratulations to Riley and Imogen whose names were drawn out of the hat during assembly this morning. They have both read at least 5 times a week during this half term and won a Smiggle voucher each. There were 50 names put into the draw in total- a fantastic achievement. Well done to them all!

Y3/Y4 Football Tournament

Today a mixed group of Y3/4 pupils participated in a tournament held at the Power League Trentham.They all played really well and had a great morning.

Diwali in Reception

The children have had an exciting day today. As part if our classwork on Diwali they have made some Indian sweets called Doodh Peda sweets. We think they look yummy!

Y4 Science

Year 4 are creating life size diagrams to show what they think happens to the food that we (and many years ago, the Romans) ate.

Year 5/6 Tag Rugby

A team of year 5 and 6s took part in a Tag Rugby tournament at Trentham Rugby Club yesterday. For a team who mostly had little experience of rugby, they played superbly, coming 4th overall. Well done!

Number Hunt

Reception have been on a number hunt in the woods today. We then had an exciting game of hide and seek where we thankfully managed to find all of the children.

British Ceramics biennial trip

A group of Hillside pupils have been in the Spode clay pit this morning. They had total freedom to create whatever they wanted. Some of their creations were amazing!
