Music Mark Award for Hillside

Having been nominated by Stoke-on-Trent Music Service in recognition of the value we place on music, Hillside is now a 2017/18 Music Mark School Member.  It is noted that pupils at Hillside are able to access and engage with high quality music education and are offered a broad and balanced curriculum.

100% Attendance

Congratulations to the pupils who were awarded in assembly on Friday for 100% attendance for the Autumn Term. This is a great achievement- well done! Emily’s (Y6) name was drawn out of the hat and we hope that she enjoys spending her cinema voucher.

Forest School

Reception have had a fantastic time in the woods this afternoon. We have been on a treasure hunt looking for feathers, stones, acorns, oak leaves and berries. We then decided who was 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th for our maths work.

Dough Disco in the Nursery

Yesterday, we took our little hands and fingers to the Dough Disco, we had a brilliant time dancing away and we had worked our fingers very hard by the end of the disco! Working our fingers in the dough will help our fine-motor skills ready for us to begin writing.
