Reception had another mystery reader today. Archie was so pleased to see his mum arrive with two of his favourite stories. The children really enjoyed listening to Zog and Room on the Broom.

Forest School
Reception had a wet and blustery but fun time in the woods yesterday. We were hanging our bird feeders that were made at our Showcase last week. We also found lots of different leaves, including oak, sycamore and beech!
Y6 Showcase
Year 6 hosted their showcase yesterday. Children have been learning about the Victorians and our showcase looked at the influence they have had on Christmas.
Leaf Hunts in the Woods
Nursery have had a lovely time this morning searching for different coloured leaves. We found a selection of orange, brown, green, yellow and red leaves. After searching for the leaves the children requested a game of hide and seek. There were some fabulous hiding places, Miss Hewitt was very impressed!
Cookery Club
Egg cracking, whisking, dish washing are some of the many skills the Year 2 cookery club have been learning to do! Crunchy Muffins are the result and they look and smell delicious!
Mystery Reader in Nursery
A big thank you to Annabel’s mummy who came to read Goldilocks and the 3 bears. The children loved listening to the story!
Forest School at Burnwood
On Friday afternoon 6 of our Year 5 children have enjoyed experiencing a forest school session at Burnwood Primary School. They played games, made medallions using knives and hand drills and enjoyed a hot chocolate and biscuit!
A Celebration of R.E.
On Thursday the whole school took part in a Celebration of R.E. day. The day was a fabulous success with many children exclaiming that it had been the best day ever! Hillside Football
Hillside played their first two games last night at Northwood in the Hanley School’s Football League. The first game ended Abbey Hulton 2 – 0 Hillside. However, things picked up in the second game with Hillside beating Grove 2 – 1.
