Year One’s Seasonal Poetry

Year One have been learning and reciting their own poetry! They have created rhyming verses about the different seasons and then performed as a class verses about Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. They were confident performers and their science and geography learning shone through! Well done! 🍂  

Sketching in Year Three

This afternoon the children have been developing their sketching skills. They learnt about creating dark and light lines with a pencil. They used these skills when drawing a picture of a frog.  

Key Stage 2 eSafety Leaders

The eSafety Leaders have been checking out Interlands which is a website containing online safety games. They have really enjoyed and learnt about being kind online and not believing everything they see online.

Year Six Blist’s Hill Visit

Year Six have arrived at Blist’s Hill Victorian village. The class have been split into three groups and have so far visited the bank, pharmacy and grocers. Many have already expressed their excitement at the chippy lunch they will be having later.

Story and Rhyme Club

We used ‘Sparks in the Sky’, an ebook to inspire our firework pictures! We used handprints to paint a bonfire then adding whizzing and whooshing fireworks to the picture! We also talked about staying safe and taking care around fires and fireworks! Super work! 🎆    

Reception’s Mystery Reader
