Year One have had a brilliant number day looking at mathematics skills throughout the day! We enjoyed playing a guessing game using super vocab then we completed a shape and number challenge – we can’t wait to see who wins! We linked our maths to careers and our History learning, working out how maths is used for fire fighters, bakers and the royal family then we worked on group challenges to create recipes, put out fires and charge taxes! This afternoon we challenged ourselves on Numbots then used our sequencing skills and days of the week knowledge to sort the events from the Great Fire of London. Incredible, Year One! We all know that we’ll be using maths lots in our futures too and all have super positive attitudes to maths! ⭐️
