Year 3 have had a busy day at Magna exploring the fire pavilion, learning about volcanoes and creating their own eruptions!
One Minute Silence – London
At 11am this morning, the staff and children at Hillside took part in a 1 minute silence to remember the victims of the London attack.
Y5 Pen Pals
Year 5 have received their first letters from their new pen pals! They have linked up with another school called Hillside from Scotland. On Monday afternoon, they started to write their replies.
Y6 working with Reception children
Year 6 are working with children from Reception to develop their maths skills through online games.

Hockey Tournament
Years 3/4/5/ and 6 had a fantastic day at Ormiston Horizon. They represented Hillside fabulously, played some amazing hockey and won quite a few matches too! Well done Hillside!
Y3 Buzzing about bees!
On Tuesday, Y3 had a visit from bee-keeper, Andy! We learnt about pollination and how to protect the bees in our country. We explored a real bee hive and tried on a bee-keepers uniform.
