Welcome to our Nursery at Hillside Primary School, where every child is valued as a unique individual.

We provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment where children feel safe, happy and excited to learn. Through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, children enjoy fun, hands-on experiences that encourage them to explore, discover and develop confidence and independence.
Our inviting indoor and outdoor spaces, together with our Forest School experiences, provide wonderful opportunities to learn through play, nature and real-life experiences. We follow children’s interests and use exciting topics to inspire a love of learning.

Our caring and experienced team is passionate about giving every child the very best start to their educational journey.
Mrs Ashton – Nursery Teacher
Mrs Ashton has over 30 years of experience across the Primary and Early Years curriculum. She is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel confident, valued and excited to learn.
Mrs Hollingshead – Early Years Practitioner
Mrs Hollingshead is an experienced Early Years Practitioner who loves helping children learn through play and exploration. She enjoys getting to know each child and supporting their confidence, independence and development.

    Children explore who they are, their families, friendships and what it means to belong to our Nursery community.

    Through favourite rhymes, songs and stories, children develop their language, listening skills, vocabulary and love of words.

    Children explore colour through painting, drawing, collage and creative activities, developing their imagination and expressing their ideas.
  • We Are Builders – Houses and Homes
    Through construction, role play and stories, children explore houses, homes and buildings while developing their creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.
  • We Are Growing – Life Cycles
    Children discover how people, plants and animals grow and change through planting, nature walks and hands-on experiences.
  • We Are Dreamworld Discoverers – Fantasy Land
