Congratulations to the pupils who were recognised for their excellent work last week. Keep it up!
Well done to the pupils who were awarded last week for displaying our school values.
For our last week on the mini beast topic, Reception have been on a worm hunt. The children are holding up some of the worms they have found before we put them back into the soil!
Year Five have enjoyed a question and answer session with Jack Brereton, our Chair of Governors and newly elected Member of Parliament for Stoke South. They told him about their election week at Hillside and asked him questions about his new role and the future for Stoke-On-Trent.
This brave lot have almost made it to the end… they’ve had a challenging week but every single of one this bunch have conquered their fears. We’ve packed our bags, played rounders, had our hot chocolate and are now ready for bed. Rifle shooting, team building or rock climbing tomorrow.
Year Six have enjoyed canoeing today, chasing ducks, dangling backwards into the water and then having a little swim! Their water skills were fab!
Year 4 have enjoyed watching some little visitors on the bird table. We have spotted a collared dove, starling, blue tit and a wren coming for a snack.
Day 4 at Stanley Head has in store: Crate stacking this morning followed by canoeing later on.
