What an amazing half term Reception have had with their Mystery Readers. The children have loved having their mums, dads , grans and grandads coming in to share their favourite stories. The Year Four Book Club are enjoying their last session this morning. Hillside have arrived at the Panto – oh yes they have! Everyone is seated and enjoying ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. There are snacks and drinks for later and we’re excited to see what happens as the story unfolds!

Reception received an exciting visit from the local library service on Tuesday . The children and parents were taken on many adventures as they listened to a range of stories. The children were also gifted a book called ‘The Cave’, along with information on how to join the library and borrow books.
Our final Story and Rhyme Club focussed on Dr Seuss today! We made our own green eggs and ham cakes, yoghurty red fish blue fish and created a pile of cat in the hat hats! The little bits we sampled were delicious and well done to everyone for joining in with all of the stories…
This weeks book was ‘Zog’ by Julia Donaldson! We created our own dragon blowers and got lots of paint on our lips blowing through the cups to make the flames shoot out! Fantastic as always! 🐉 🔥
Nursery have had a lovely time raising money for Children In Need! We’ve made our own Pudsey Bears, searched for Pudsey shapes in the woods and played Pudsey phonics games!
During the first half of the Autumn term, year 2 experienced some super stories from our mystery readers. We were lucky to have Sam’s mum, Phoebe’s nan and Ellie’s mum.
