Year One’s science learning sent them outdoors again on a plant hunt! They searched the school grounds for different plants after learning about the parts and functions of plants 🌱 Then they used their maths skills to create tally chart and totals. Well done Year One 💐
The Hillside Football team have played their second set of fixtures against Abbey Hulton, who they drew 1-1 with, and against Milton, who they lost 3-0 to. There were a lot of positives to take from both games and Hillside will continue to build and improve.
Year 6 have taken part in a Victorian-style lesson this afternoon. They had to pay 2 shillings to enter the class, started the lesson with fitness drills and practised dictation and handwriting. Children from Year Two have been enjoying being a part of Breakfast Buddies! They make their own breakfast, enjoy spending time eating and chatting together and then do the washing up! They show real care when preparing their meals and seem to be enjoying trying lots of new breakfast ideas! 🍞
A big well done to the children who took part in the Sports4All Festival today at Excel Academy. The children tried a range of sports including Boccia, Goalball, New age Curling, sitting volleyball, Athletics and Badminton. They had a fantastic time and were a credit to the school. Well done!
We read the story of Alan the alligator and his great big scary teeth! We loved joining in with all of the scary noises and found it hilarious when we discovered he had false teeth – and even more hilarious when he lent them to Barry the beaver at the end! We made our own…
Year Three have baked oatie cookies during cookery club! They worked hard to mix the ingredients, bake their cookies and also cleaned up! They looked and smelled delicious – sure they tasted it too! 🍪
