Year 5 have had a lovely day at the National Space Centre and we are on schedule for our return home. After we finished programming the rovers, we went to watch a show in the planetarium. We then had time to explore the rest of the Centre and have a closer look at the rocket.
After a small delay, we finally made it to the National Space Centre! The children are currently programming Mars Rovers.
Year 2 have had a fantastic day in Llandudno! We travelled on the Great Orme Tramway, played in the park, ate ice cream, played on the beach and watched the Punch and Judy show on the beachfront! As usual the children were a credit to the school- their behaviour was impeccable.
Hillside’s Singing Stars took to the stage at the Mitchell Arts Centre! Their Disney themed show thrilled the audience as the curtains went up!
Year Six have arrived at Manchester Science Museum in good time and are currently in their first workshop: circuit city, where children are learning about the history of electricity and how it is generated. We will be going into ‘The Wonders of Light’ workshop after this one where children will be exploring how light travels…

A huge thanks to everyone who came along to join us for our showcase this afternoon. We clearly have some very talented artists, poets and nature lovers amongst us. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we hope that Mums, Dads, Nans and Grandads did too!
The children enjoyed their football themed lunch today including special cakes prepared by our catering staff. Come on England!
