Art Week in Year Five

This week, Year Five completed their Access All Arts Week project where they have looked at the skills associated with both photography and cinematography. They have created successful perspective photos whilst also experimented with different genres.

Year One’s Jubilee Prep!

Nursery’s Amazing Art

This week the children have had a selection of paint and using thin paintbrushes have been working very hard to paint a picture of a train. We had some lovely designs and lots of rainbow coloured trains, we were so impressed with their concentration while they completed their paintings. Well done Nursery!

Oil Pastel Pieces in Year Five

Year Five have now completed their current art unit where they have been inspired by ‘The Sun’ created by Edvard Munch. Throughout the unit, they have worked in the medium of oil pastels practising their blending using the colour wheel. They have produced a range of fantastic pieces and went to peer-evaluate them.  

We’re off to France in Reception

This week, Reception read a story called ‘A walk in Paris’. There were so many wonderful features that we learned about including the Eiffel Tower. The children found France on our world map, created their own Eiffel Tower masterpieces, painted French flags, sang Frere Jacques and wrote an information leaflet detailing important facts about France.…
