On Friday afternoon 6 of our Year 5 children have enjoyed experiencing a forest school session at Burnwood Primary School. They played games, made medallions using knives and hand drills and enjoyed a hot chocolate and biscuit!
On Thursday the whole school took part in a Celebration of R.E. day. The day was a fabulous success with many children exclaiming that it had been the best day ever! The theme for the day was the fundamentals of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Islam. The children moved around from class to class all day…
Hillside played their first two games last night at Northwood in the Hanley School’s Football League. The first game ended Abbey Hulton 2 – 0 Hillside. However, things picked up in the second game with Hillside beating Grove 2 – 1.

Year One were very excited about their first mystery reader today and were thrilled when Mrs Lowell came in to read! Mrs Lowell shared ‘The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet’ and everyone thought it was hilarious when the dinosaur decided to poooooo! 💩 Thank you Mrs Lowell! We can’t wait to meet our next mystery…
Carter’s Dad came in today to share his two favourite books with the class, A squash and a squeeze and The Toucan Brothers. The children loved both stories but after a vote, The Toucan Brothers was crowned the winner!
