On Thursday, year 5’s first mystery reader was revealed… Jack’s mum! She chose to read an extract from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The children loved it and are excited to see who is coming next week…
Year 5 Maths Outdoors
On Tuesday, year 5 completed maths outdoors in the sun by spelling their names using Semaphore flag signals. They then identified and estimated the angles they created.

The children are thoroughly enjoying celebrating being awarded the Reading Gold Award today. They are devouring the ice creams and sharing their favourite books out in the sunshine. ☀️

We did some Hapa Zome a Japanese way of printing using natural materials like plants and flowers onto material. Wibble wobble!
Year Three had a challenge on Friday afternoon: they had to make small structures to survive earthquakes using spaghetti and marshmallows! Their structures then were tested through vigorous jelly shaking – and many of them survived! 🌏
