Tutankhamen’s Tomb
Yesterday, year 5 had the chance to go into our makeshift tomb. They went in with a torch (as it was quite dark!) and drew the artefacts they found. They then thought of questions they’d like to ask about the artefacts.
Stone Age Cookery
Year Three have been cooking up a storm this afternoon! They’ve created a Stone Age soup using fresh greens, leeks and herbs and a sweet fruity jam with blackberries and blueberries! They’ve learned that Stone Age people would travel for food and fruits – although the capture of a wild beast and eating it raw…
A wet and windy morning in the woods!
Nursery had a fab time in the woods on Monday morning despite the great British weather! The children didn’t let it stop them exploring and finding shelter in the woods. We got a little bit muddy but rest assured the waterproofs and wellies are now all dry!
Mary, Mary Quite Contrary
Last week the children in Nursery were learning the rhyme Mary, Mary Quite Contrary. We went for a walk around the school grounds to look for flowers and then we planted our own flowers ready for the summer.
Year 5 Maths
On Friday, Year 5 were converting metric lengths. They were measuring various parts of their body with a ruler in centimetres and then converting them to millimetres and metres.
Year Three’s Funky Fingers
Year Three have enjoyed using their funky fingers in handwriting today. They also enjoyed the classical music interlude by Beethoven!

Science Ambassadors
Our Science Ambassadors have been enthusing our younger children again today by creating their own rain clouds and rain, using water, shaving foam and food colouring. They are obviously doing a wonderful job as a Year One child was overheard saying “I LOVE science, it’s amazing!”
