Christmas Lunch
We have enjoyed a delicious Christmas Dinner today. The music was playing and children were singing. Thank you to to Jill and the team for preparing and serving it.

Our Key Stage Two productions of ‘It’s Chr-i-i-i-stmas’ have been a huge success this week. The children’s acting and singing was absolutely amazing. Thank you to our audiences for supporting us.
Nativity Performances
The Reception & Key Stage One performances of ‘A Midwife Crisis’ were absolutely superb yesterday. The acting and singing were fantastic. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves as did the audiences – Thank you!

School will be open today. Take time and care getting in. No late marks will be given. Please avoid driving on Field Avenue if possible. School staff have been working hard all morning to clear and grit the school site – please stick to designated paths. Nursery children to enter via the Ks1 playground please.…
Key Stage 2 Pupils Only
Please could all KS2 children who do not have a part on stage come in Xmas jumpers (if not already in school) and school uniform tomorrow. Please bring own jeans etc. to change into after the performance. Rest of school wear Christmas themed non-uniform for the day.
Wednesday 13th December
We will once again endeavour to open tomorrow. An inspection of Field Avenue will be made this evening. Christmas lunch cannot be served tomorrow due to no deliveries – therefore usual school meal menu will be served and Christmas Lunch will be rearranged and communicated with you. Also children won’t be walking to Church tomorrow…
School closed – Tuesday 12th December
Hillside Primary remains shut today due to the treacherous condition of Field Avenue. The road and pavements are very icy and slippy due to recent snow and overnight freezing temperatures. The safety of our pupils, families and staff is paramount. We will keep you updated.
Important message from Mrs Schonau
Hillside will endeavour to open tomorrow. Our fabulous caretaker John has worked incredibly hard to clear and grit paths on our site but Field Avenue has not been treated and the drop in temperature overnight could mean treacherous conditions. Therefore we will not be able to make a decision until tomorrow morning after Field Avenue…
