Tolerance Assembly

Mrs Rushton delivered an assembly all about a key British Value today, talking about tolerance, differences and kindness. She started off not being very tolerant – getting groups of children to sit down just because she didn’t like their pets, they didn’t wear glasses or because they were a boy or girl! Talking about how this made the children feel, it was obvious that at Hillside we are much kinder and show each other respect, know that we are unique and value each other’s differences! Some brave volunteers came and shared problems and were cheered for the tolerant and helpful ways they solved the problems! Ask your children if they can remember our key message – to always BE KIND! (And please be assured Mrs Rushton doesn’t really dislike boys, people with dogs or people who don’t wear glasses 🤣)
