Science and Maths in Year 5

Does the size of a parachute affect the speed of fall? Year 5 had a busy morning this morning applying their maths skills through science. They used their measuring skills, teamwork and investigative skills to create parachutes of different sizes to find out about the effects of air resistance. Once they have created a range of different sized parachutes, they will be measuring the time taken to fall, collecting their data in a table and using it to construct a line graph.
