The press conference with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson took place late this afternoon and as such we need to update you with our actions in response.
Here are the key points:
- everyone in the UK is now being advised to avoid “non-essential” contact with others and “unnecessary” travel
- people are also being asked avoid social venues
Therefore the-out-of school trips due to take place over the next few weeks will be postponed, beginning with the Y4 trip to Dudley Zoo tomorrow.
In addition, the government are now advising people to stay at home for 14 days if they, or anyone in their household, has either a high temperature or a ‘new and continuous’ cough.
