Year 5

We are the Fantastic, Fabulous Year Fives!

Our class is made up of 30 funny, clever and creative children who take pride in everything they do. We tackle our learning with enthusiasm and curiosity and always strive to do our best.

Our class is led by our teacher Mrs Williams, with the support of our dedicated teaching assistant Mrs Hill. They guide and support us throughout our journey this year. We also enjoy PE with the cool and athletic Dan, and Music with the musical and creative Mr Hall.

In Year 5, we are awesome authors who have loved writing inspired by Hugo Cabret, How to Train Your Dragon and Harry Potter. We are super scientists who enjoy hands-on experiments and exciting experiences like Space Camp. As heroic historians, we explore the past through topics such as Ancient Greece and the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, while as genius geographers, we investigate volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains and Scandinavia—developing our understanding of the wider world. We are awesome artists and love expressing our creativity by experimenting with different techniques and creating imaginative work. As a class with a real passion for sport, we love taking part in PE and representing our school in competitions. Whether it’s Sports Day or other events, we always give 100% and celebrate both individual and team successes together.

We aim high in everything we do and take pride in producing work of a high standard. Most importantly, we support each other, lift each other up and encourage everyone to succeed.
