A last minute change of day didn’t set us back, however with the weather being wet and muddy we made use of the outdoor hut! We had a lovely afternoon in our Go Wild workshop! We used tools -junior hacksaw, pin hammer, palm drill, hand drill & a bit and brace. We had a chat about the risk of using them and what may happen. I discussed some of my risk assessments with them. All the children had a turn at using most of these tools. The children wore safety goggles! We did have a couple of children who did knock their thumbs! Ouch! However they all had so much fun knocking nails & drilling in to wood we may do this again next week!
