What a lot of exciting learning that went on last week in Reception. Our story of the week was The Disgusting Sandwich by Gareth Edwards. The children all made ‘nice’ sandwiches as well as disgusting ones. We hung our disgusting ones in the woods for the wildlife. Don’t worry it wasn’t too disgusting, a mixture of bread, lard and birdseed. We also continued the growing of our carrot tops with much success. For our maths we were focusing on the mathematical language of taller /shorter, and longer/ shorter and we had some very creative ways of exploring this. We also continued to practise our phonics with some magical stardust writing. Well done Reception. Another fantastic week!
