Dear Hillside parents and families,
As you will be aware covid cases are rising again nationally and although we remain a ‘medium’ risk area we are continuously reviewing our our practice and procedure to ensure that we are as covid- secure as we possibly can be.
It has been noticed/ brought to our attention that parents are not strictly adhering to the 2m distancing rule and at times are too close to staff at drop off and pick up – especially at the doors on our KS1 playground. We have taped out boxes on the floor to help with distancing but these are not always adhered to.
A reminder also that we ask you to email or ring the school with any queries or messages leaving staff free on the door to accept or dismiss the children safely.
Lastly we are seeing an increasing amount of children being brought in late in a morning which is disruptive and unsettling for the child and their class. Please allow sufficient time so that children can enter on time with their class. If you need support with this please contact the school.
These measures are in place to keep our children, staff and the whole community as safe as we can. Please pass on to anyone who drops off or picks up your child. Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation and understanding of these matters.
The Hillside Team
