Year One have been working hard this week on their vocabulary. They’re re-writing the story of ‘Vlad and the Great Fire of London’ and have impressed us with their ability to use words they’ve learned from the story – like feasted and flickering! 🐀 In Maths they’ve been using words to describe capacity – sorting and labelling cups of water and ordering them. They’ve been using empty, full, half full and even had a go at quarter and three quarters full! We tried to trick them with nearly full or nearly empty too – but we didn’t manage it! Well done Year One – enjoy your capacity work over the holiday and try not to spill too much! Try to get them to use some of their new vocabulary at home if you can! 💦
