French in Year Five

This week in our French learning we have begun our new topic of “Healthy Eating”. We successfully went on a vocabulary hunt for new foods and used French dictionaries with efficiency to find some important new vocabulary.  

Year Three’s French Charades

In Year Three, we have begun learning the vocabulary for different activities in French. To show our understanding, we played a game of charades with the children guessing the activity  in French only. Year Three are loving their French lessons and lots are exciting to learn even more in French club.  

Notre Mondè (The World Around Us) – Year Six

Year Six have started their new French topic, Notre Mondè. They have used atlases to identify the locations of some countries and put them under the appropriate continent on a table. However, there was one twist: the countries and the continents were all in French. The children did extremely well!

French in Year Four

After learning about the weather during French lessons, the children have reported on the weather in France. We learnt about some cities in France and the children typed up the weather, included matching pictures and some had a go at recording themselves speaking in French.

Year Three’s Fantastic French

This term, Year Three have been learning French greetings including how to ask each other’s age and name. They are improving their French speaking and listening skills by conversing with each other in French and taking part in lots of activities like bingo and using their maths skills to practise their French numbers.
